RxCycle is a digital platform that connects hospitals with research groups. Hi, I'm Shirin, the co-founder of RxCycle.
The NHS throws away over 300 million pounds worth of unused medicines every year, many of which are still perfectly usable for nonclinical research. At the same time, pharmaceutical researchers face a frustrating reality. Experiments materials are often expensive or hard to find. And that is why we're building RxCycle.
Here, hospital staff can lock surplus items that would otherwise be thrown in the bin, and researchers can search, click and collect at a fraction of the cost of buying new.
We are pioneering a circular economy within healthcare and research. I lead on the compliance side and my co-founder has an extensive network within the industry. So whether you're a researcher, pharmacist, or student, if you want to build a more sustainable future, make sure to check out our landing page to find out more about how you can get involved.
