Birdie

Birdie is a London-based homecare technology platform that gives domiciliary care providers software for care planning, rostering, medication management, family communication, incident reporting, and compliance. The B-Corp certified company supports more than 700 care businesses across the UK and Europe, including Alina Homecare, Medacs Healthcare, and Care at Home Group, covering tens of thousands of care recipients.

The platform replaces paper-based and fragmented systems with a single workflow for agencies and gives families visibility into the care being delivered. Birdie publishes outcome data with its partners: care providers using the platform have reported resolving 80% of medication concerns within 72 hours, up from 58%, and an 82% reduction in missed visits.

Founded in 2017 by Max Parmentier (CEO), Abeed Mohamed (CSO), Gwen Le Calvez (CTO), and Rajiv Tanna (CPO), Birdie has raised over $60m across multiple rounds, including a $30m Series B in 2022 led by Sofina with OMERS Ventures and follow-on participation from Index Ventures. The team has grown to more than 100 employees.
