Condukt is a London and Porto-based compliance platform for financial services that has built what it describes as perpetual KYB (know-your-business) infrastructure. Rather than relying on periodic, point-in-time verification conducted at onboarding or annual review cycles, Condukt's platform introduces a proprietary real-time data layer that continuously synchronises with client operations — detecting ownership changes, new directorships, modified business activities and emerging risk signals automatically as they occur.
The company was founded in May 2023 by Paulo Guichard and Bhasker Rao, who met at Revolut Business having previously held senior roles at SumUp and Square (now Block) respectively. Their combined two decades across scaled financial institutions — including American Express, Block and Revolut — gave them first-hand experience of the compliance bottlenecks that throttle fast-moving fintechs: outdated datasets, manual triage and onboarding processes that treat compliance as a recurring cost rather than a dynamic capability.
Condukt's agentic system sits atop its real-time data layer, deploying AI agents that automate manual compliance workflows and provide always-on oversight across a client's entire book of business relationships. This transforms compliance from a periodic checkbox exercise into a proactive, adaptive function that keeps pace with regulatory change. Current customers include Wise, Tide, Mollie, Rakuten, Shift4, Flatpay and myPOS, and the company's engineering team draws from former Revolut and Meta talent.
Condukt raised a £7.5m seed round in November 2025 led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and MMC Ventures, with participation from Cocoa Ventures. The round arrived as global AML enforcement reached record levels, with regulators issuing more than $6 billion in fines in the first half of 2025. Lightspeed partner Alex Schmitt described the raise as an investment in the future of compliance infrastructure — one that moves the industry from periodic oversight to perpetual, AI-driven monitoring.
