Hyran Technologies

Hyran Technologies is a Cambridge-based AI platform that helps fashion brands and suppliers respond to real consumer demand, increase profitability, and reduce textile waste. The company's supplier-led approach gives brands real-time visibility into raw material availability and manufacturing capacity, replacing the months-ahead forecasting that drives the fashion industry's overproduction problem.
The platform brings factories, suppliers, and brands onto a single system so they can plan and produce against actual sell-through data rather than long-range guesses. By shrinking design-to-shelf timelines and enabling make-to-order workflows, Hyran aims to reduce the share of unsold apparel that ends up in landfill — a defining inefficiency in an industry estimated to account for 8–10% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
Hyran was founded in 2022 by Dr. Ahmed Zaidi, a Cambridge AI PhD with a multi-generational family background in knitwear manufacturing, and Jordan Zhang, a software engineer with experience scaling machine-learning platforms. The company launched publicly in February 2023 with investment from Closed Loop Partners' Ventures Group, which focuses on circular-economy startups, and is developing partnerships with manufacturers, brands, and retailers.
