Inai

Inai is a global payment orchestration platform that lets merchants connect to multiple payment service providers, local payment methods, BNPL options, and fraud or BI tools through a single integration.

The product allows merchants to localise checkout by region, route transactions intelligently across rails, and run failover logic to recover failed payments — all without writing code. It also provides observability and analytics on payment performance, authorisation rates, and decline reasons.

Founded in May 2021 by Anantharaman Pattabiraman and Karthik Narayanan, Inai joined Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch and raised about $4 million in seed funding led by Paua Ventures and 9Unicorns. The company was acquired by Chargebee in February 2025.
