Nothing is a London-based consumer technology company founded in 2020 with the mission to make technology fun and human again. The company designs and manufactures smartphones, earbuds, and wearables under a distinctive transparent aesthetic that has earned it a global cult following. Its product line spans the Phone series, Ear series, and the CMF sub-brand — now a standalone subsidiary headquartered in India — targeting value-conscious consumers across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Consumer electronics had become commoditised: devices looked the same, felt the same, and inspired little genuine excitement. Nothing was built to challenge that by treating design as a first-class concern and refusing to produce forgettable products. The company argues that transparency — in design, in communication, and in community — is the antidote to an industry that has grown opaque and indifferent to its users.

Nothing's portfolio is built on vertical integration of hardware and software. Its Android-based Nothing OS provides a clean, icon-forward experience with unique Glyph notification lighting along the device's frame, creating a signature interaction language. The company's CMF sub-brand extends accessible design to budget-tier phones, audio, and wearables. Nothing has shipped over five million devices cumulatively, surpassing $1 billion in lifetime revenue in 2024 with 150% year-on-year growth.

In September 2025, Nothing closed a $200 million Series C led by Tiger Global at a $1.3 billion valuation — achieving unicorn status. The round included Qualcomm Ventures as a strategic partner, signalling deeper chipset collaboration for Nothing's next phase: building an AI-native operating system designed to be hyper-personalised across smartphones and future connected devices including smart glasses, robots, and electric vehicles. A December 2025 community round raised an additional £6 million from over 5,000 backers, bringing total community investment to over $16 million since the programme began.
