PervasID
.avif)
PervasID is a Cambridge-based RFID technology company that has developed a passive UHF RFID reader system capable of achieving continuous, real-time item-level tracking with sub-centimetre accuracy — a capability that has not previously existed in the RFID industry. Founded in 2015 as a spinout from the University of Cambridge by Professor Sithamparanathan Sabesan (known as Sitha), PervasID's technology addresses a fundamental limitation of existing RFID infrastructure: readers can detect tags but cannot reliably determine where those tags are located within a space.
PervasID has deployed its systems across retail, logistics, and healthcare customers globally. The company raised a Series A funding round to accelerate commercial deployment of its technology and expand its international presence.
