TG0 is a London-based hardware technology company that has built a platform for touch-sensitive and pressure-mapping surfaces that can be integrated into any physical product. Co-founded by Ming Kong and Dr Liucheng Guo and incubated by the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, TG0 replaces bundles of conventional electronic sensors with a single flexible material layer that captures touch, pressure, vibration, gesture, and twist — all processed by proprietary AI algorithms.

The problem TG0 addresses is endemic across consumer electronics, automotive interiors, and industrial applications: traditional electronic sensor assemblies are bulky, expensive, prone to failure, and difficult to manufacture at scale. Product designers are forced to make trade-offs between functionality, form factor, cost, and sustainability — and the result is that billions of devices ship with interfaces that feel clunky and outdated.

TG0's patented technology embeds capacitive sensing directly into the surface material of a product. Its AI platform can read and interpret the micro-signal changes within any material — plastic, rubber, glass, or metal — giving designers unprecedented freedom without adding component complexity. The technology is already deployed by automotive suppliers, VR hardware makers, and sports performance equipment companies including Novares, Italdesign, Zwift Ride, and Somnium Space.

In 2024 TG0 raised £6.5M across two rounds, both led by NetMind.AI with participation from WP Health, to accelerate product development and expand its global team. The company is also developing a medical application — a smart prosthetic liner using flexible pressure sensors to monitor fit in real time — which could reduce the NHS's estimated £10M annual burden from prosthetic abandonment. TG0 has been selected for the UK's Future Fifty programme and was invited to present at 10 Downing Street.
