Anhad Sandhu is a British-South Asian entrepreneur, aerospace engineer, and AI specialist whose career bridges rigorous academic research and global industrial deployment. He holds expertise in applied mathematics and AI, shaped by a professional background in aviation and aerospace engineering. Guided by a conviction that AI should serve life — not just optimise it — Sandhu has oriented his work towards domains where the stakes of getting decisions wrong are highest: environmental restoration, infrastructure resilience, and complex industrial operations.

Sandhu co-founded digiLab Solutions in 2021 alongside Professor Tim Dodwell, a Turing AI Fellow and visiting professor at MIT and Heidelberg. At digiLab, he leads international expansion and business development, with a particular focus on markets in the Middle East — including Saudi Arabia — where safety-critical industries such as energy, water, and advanced manufacturing are investing heavily in AI capability. The company's Uncertainty Engine platform provides trustworthy, explainable AI for organisations that need to make high-stakes decisions even when data is sparse or incomplete.

digiLab has attracted backing from the UK Innovation and Science Seed Fund, East Innovate, East X Ventures, and ICURe, among others. In 2025 the company raised £2 million to expand its platform globally, working with clients including UKAEA, South West Water, and the DIII-D National Fusion Facility in the US.
