Bragadeesh Suresh Babu is an Indian engineer and entrepreneur from Chennai, India, who studied at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), one of India's most prestigious engineering institutions. His technical foundation in hardware design was established early, and he went on to develop deep expertise in semiconductor engineering before launching his own company.

Babu's career in the UK's deep-tech ecosystem began as an early engineer at CoMind, a brain-monitoring startup that subsequently raised $100 million. He then joined Fractile, a UK-based chip startup focused on AI processors, as one of its earliest engineers. At Fractile, he worked directly on the most complex and commercially critical challenges in chip design, building the practical insight that would become the foundation of Tattvam AI. He turned down an offer to join Google's TPU team to pursue his own vision.

In 2025, Babu co-founded Tattvam AI in London with Lannan Jiang, building a reasoning model designed to automate semiconductor chip physical design. The company's approach treats chip design as fundamentally a reasoning problem — understanding the constraints, trade-offs, and interdependencies across the design hierarchy — rather than a pattern-matching exercise. Tattvam is building an AI layer on top of existing EDA tools from Cadence and Synopsys, aiming to compress multi-year design cycles to weeks.

Tattvam AI raised £1.3 million in a pre-seed round in February 2026, led by Seedcamp, with participation from EWOR, Entropy Industrial Ventures, Concept Ventures, and semiconductor veteran Stan Boland — former founder and CEO of Icera (acquired by NVIDIA) and Element 14 (acquired by Broadcom). Boland described Babu as one of the most driven and compelling young founders in today's chip industry.
