Hung Hoang is the co-founder and CTO of Zalos, a London- and San Francisco-based startup building AI computer agents for finance operations. Of Vietnamese heritage, he studied at Institut Polytechnique de Paris before moving into engineering roles in fintech and applied AI.

Hoang spent five years at Apple Pay before becoming focused on computer agents — software that operates existing applications the way a human would. He worked on early computer-agent research at Twin, drawn to the approach because it sidesteps the API integration problems that have stalled finance automation. He went on to co-found Zalos with William Fairbairn after the pair joined Y Combinator's Fall 2025 batch.

At Zalos, Hoang leads the technical architecture behind agents that log into ERPs such as NetSuite, Sage and SAP S/4HANA, navigate interfaces, enter data and validate workflows — all trained from screen recordings of how finance teams already work. The company raised £2.7 million in seed funding in March 2026, led by 14 Peaks with participation from Cohen Circle and 20VC.
