Ibrahim Khan

Ibrahim Khan is the co-founder of Islamic Finance Guru (IFG) and its sister investment platform Cur8 Capital. Of British Pakistani heritage, Khan grew up with a deep grounding in Islamic scholarship alongside a rigorous academic education, completing an alim (Islamic studies) qualification in 2018 before qualifying as a solicitor in 2019 — a combination that gave him the rare ability to sit at the intersection of classical Islamic jurisprudence and modern commercial law.
In 2015, Khan and his co-founder Mohsin Patel launched IFG as a blog, writing about Islamic finance topics in their spare time while pursuing corporate careers. What began as a community service grew steadily into one of the UK's most trusted voices in halal investing, reaching over four million people across its social channels and more than 100,000 monthly website visitors. In late 2019, the pair left their careers to build IFG full-time. The platform expanded from content into products, ultimately giving rise to Cur8 Capital — IFG's investment arm — which manages over £120 million in assets across real estate, fixed income, and private equity, all structured for Sharia compliance. Khan serves as CEO of Cur8 Capital and is a recognised authority in Islamic finance with a background spanning private equity and venture capital.
Islamic Finance Guru raised £3.8 million to accelerate its ambition of becoming the defining financial platform for the global Muslim community — a community it argues has historically been underserved and financially disadvantaged relative to its size. Under Khan's leadership, IFG combines rigorous scholarly oversight with accessible, evidence-based financial education, aiming to shift Muslim households from financial vulnerability to lasting wealth creation.
