Kanu Batra is co-founder and CEO of Speek Health, a London-based digital mental health company that supports parents of teenagers struggling with self-harm. The company builds clinically-led group programmes, personalised support plans and helplines staffed by clinical psychologists, working from the premise that parents are often the most underserved part of the family system when a young person is in crisis.
Speek is Batra's second startup. She previously co-founded Test At Home, a Singapore-based MedTech company focused on at-home diagnostics, and before that spent more than a decade at International SOS, where she held a series of senior roles culminating as Director of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. That combination of large-scale operational experience and second-time founder discipline shapes how she runs Speek — clinically rigorous, partnership-led, and sceptical of vanity metrics that don't translate to outcomes.
Trained as a biotechnologist with a Master's in Management from the London School of Economics, Batra started her research career at the Centre for Genomic Application in India before moving into analytics roles at Cipher Systems and GLG. She co-founded Speek with Nessrin Younes after the two met through Zinc's venture-building programme, which is also one of the company's investors.
