Kerem Turgay is a Turkish engineer and entrepreneur who serves as the co-founder and CTO of Bolt Insight, the London-based AI-native market research company. His academic background combines elite technical training across two continents: he studied at ETH Zurich, one of Europe's leading engineering and technology universities, and also trained at Harvard, developing a rigorous foundation in engineering and applied technology that would later underpin Bolt Insight's platform development.

Before co-founding Bolt Insight, Turgay accumulated hands-on industry experience at global organisations including Siemens, Coca-Cola, and Afiniti — a technology company that applies AI to improve business outcomes in communications and financial services. This breadth of experience across engineering, consumer goods, and AI-driven enterprise software gave him a distinctive vantage point on where technology could reshape large-scale business processes.

As CTO, Turgay is the technical architect behind BoltChatAI, Bolt Insight's flagship AI-moderated qualitative research platform. The system's design — which trains proprietary models on real human-moderated interviews rather than generic data — reflects his philosophy of building AI that augments rather than replaces human expertise. The result is a platform that conducts natural-language consumer interviews at scale while preserving the depth and authenticity of genuine qualitative research.

Under his technical leadership, Bolt Insight has grown into a globally operating platform conducting millions of interviews across more than 90 markets. The company raised £7 million in December 2025 led by Pembroke VCT, with Turgay now leading development of the AI Chief Insights Officer — an autonomous intelligence layer designed to answer business questions in real time by drawing on accumulated research data and commissioning fresh consumer input where needed.
