Krishna Anne

Krishna Anne is a Silicon Valley-based semiconductor entrepreneur of Indian heritage with over thirty years of experience in the global chip industry. His career has spanned senior roles in engineering, marketing, and P&L management across both startups and large public companies, giving him deep expertise across the full semiconductor value chain. He is also the founder of DataTrails, an immutable audit trail company, and previously held senior positions at Secure Thingz.

In 2022, Krishna co-founded SCI Semiconductor alongside Haydn Povey, bringing together world-class talent from Cambridge and Manchester universities to develop a new generation of memory-safe microprocessors. SCI's ICENI family of chips is based on CHERI — a framework developed at the University of Cambridge and backed by both the UK and US governments — which addresses the memory safety vulnerabilities that account for roughly 70% of all cyberattacks.

As Co-Founder of SCI Semiconductor, Krishna's Silicon Valley network has been instrumental in the company's early commercial traction, which includes Google Research as a signed customer. The company raised £2.3 million from NPIF II – Mercia Equity Finance and angel investors to build its team in Sheffield and bring the world's first commercially available memory-safe chip to market.
