Madhu Nadig is an Indian-born software engineer and entrepreneur who co-founded Flagright, the AI-native AML compliance platform backed by Y Combinator, Frontline Ventures, and Moonfire Ventures. With a background in building scalable, data-intensive systems across pharmaceuticals, social media marketing, cloud infrastructure, logistics, and fintech, Madhu brings a breadth of engineering experience that underpins Flagright's technical foundation. He is passionate about solving complex problems in regulated industries and has a long-standing commitment to supporting underrepresented communities in tech, including volunteering to teach Java programming to refugees and women through the WEST initiative in Berlin.

Madhu and co-founder Baran Ozkan launched Flagright in 2022 after identifying a critical gap in the financial crime prevention market: existing compliance tools were slow to integrate, unreliable in production, and poorly suited to the pace of modern fintech. As Co-Founder and CTO, Madhu leads engineering and product design, building the compliance infrastructure that powers Flagright's real-time transaction monitoring, case management, risk scoring, and AML screening capabilities. His work is central to the platform's hallmark performance: sub-700ms data processing speeds, 99.99% uptime, and AI capabilities that cut false positives by 93%.

After gaining early traction through Y Combinator's Winter 2022 cohort, Flagright has scaled to serve over 50 customers across six continents. The $4.3 million seed round closed in March 2025, led by Frontline Ventures, has enabled Flagright to launch its AI Forensics suite and expand into key global financial centres. Madhu's technical leadership continues to shape a platform that is redefining the standard for AI-native financial crime compliance.
