Madi Ablyazov

Madi Ablyazov is a Central Asian entrepreneur based in London whose career has spanned hardware manufacturing, energy technology, and sustainable consumer products. He is a serial founder with operational and business execution experience across international markets, and first connected with his Boldr co-founder Toma Paro at the age of ten in English-as-a-second-language classes — a partnership that would eventually produce one of Europe's most distinctive energy-tech startups.

In 2022, Ablyazov co-founded Boldr, a London-based company that retrofits home heating and cooling systems with smart, energy-saving hardware and a companion software platform. As CEO, he leads strategy and commercial growth for a company whose products have shipped to over 6,000 homes across Europe and North America. He has articulated a bold vision of every household as a distributed power plant — one capable of feeding flexible capacity back to the grid while cutting residents' bills.

Boldr has attracted backing from Ada Ventures, Techstars, Unconventional Ventures, and Viva Holdings, among others, and raised a £1.7 million round in 2025 to expand its smart thermostat and HVAC product line. The company is profitable and is pursuing aggressive expansion into the US market.
