Mike Saraswat is the co-founder and chief executive of Stoa, the London cash-management startup he launched in 2025. Of Indian heritage and based in London, he read for an MSc in media regulation and policy at the London School of Economics before spending close to two decades in brand-building and growth.

Before turning to fintech, Saraswat built and ran Ekstasy, a London creative agency, where he handled brand and customer-growth work for financial names including Starling Bank, SumUp and Klarna — each of which went on to reach unicorn valuations — as well as Amazon, Samsung and Oracle. He met his Stoa co-founder, chief technology officer Sam Goodenough, when Goodenough consulted for that agency.

At Stoa, Saraswat has pushed the idea that idle cash should return more than a nominal interest rate, positioning the company's ‘Stoa Pots’ as a way for savers to take upfront perks from partner brands. Under his lead the platform went live in the UK for both consumers and businesses and, in July 2026, closed a £1.8m pre-seed round to fund its expansion into the United States.
