Pahini Pandya is the co-founder and CEO of Panakeia Technologies, a London-based medtech company building AI-driven cancer diagnostics. She co-founded the company in 2018 with Pandu Raharja-Liu after meeting through Entrepreneur First, motivated in part by a personal cancer scare during her PhD that exposed her to the slow, fragmented nature of biomarker testing.
Before Panakeia, Pandya spent a decade as a cancer researcher, completing a PhD in cell and molecular biophysics at King's College London and a postdoc at the University of Cambridge, where she focused on the biophysical interactions between cancer cells and their environment. She has additional executive education from the business schools at Stanford and Cambridge, and has held leadership roles across science-entrepreneurship organisations.
Pandya has been recognised through programmes including Tech Nation's Applied AI 2.0, Creative Destruction Lab, King's 20 and InnovateUK's Global Business Innovation Programme. She is a frequent speaker on AI in healthcare and has co-authored peer-reviewed pan-cancer studies on deep learning for multi-omic biomarker prediction.
