Sanjeev Jeyakumar is co-founder and CEO of Lenkie, a London-based fintech building a transaction-based cashflow platform for UK SMEs. The company pays suppliers directly on behalf of small businesses at the start of a transaction, letting them secure stock, equipment and services upfront without tying up working capital.

Jeyakumar started his career on Citi's emerging-markets credit trading desk, where he spent seven years structuring more than £2 billion of lending in underserved markets and developed an early conviction that real-time data could de-risk the borrowing experience. He went on to lead commercial operations at Stowga and run sales at Diginex through its Nasdaq listing, before spending a year at Entrepreneur First as a Founder in Residence and pairing with Nnaemeka Obodoekwe to start Lenkie in 2021.

Lenkie has now funded more than £70 million to UK SMEs and made supplier payments to over 2,000 vendors across 40 countries. In March 2025 the company closed a £49 million Series A — £4 million of equity plus a £45 million debt facility — led by a US private credit fund, with the new capital earmarked for expanding the underwriting models and entering new markets.
