Zeiad Idris is a British-Sudanese entrepreneur and financier whose career has spanned commodities trading at Credit Suisse, investment banking, and founding New World Group — an FCA-regulated global merchant banking firm that he grew to over $2.5 billion in assets under management across more than 25 territories. He holds an MSc from SOAS University of London and a BA from King's College London, and is a member of the CFA Society of the UK.

Zeiad is Co-Founder and CEO of algbra, which he co-founded with Fizel Nejabat to build the UK's first fully Sharia-compliant, ESG-aligned digital finance platform. Under his leadership, algbra became the first ethical fintech to gain FCA Electronic Money Institution authorisation, the first Sharia-compliant fintech globally to achieve B Corp certification, and received the Freedom of the City of London alongside his co-founder. The platform has since evolved into algbra Labs, offering a full-stack Fintech-as-a-Service solution deployed by banks and financial institutions internationally, including a partnership with Standard Chartered Ventures' Shoal platform and Gatehouse Bank.

algbra raised £3.75 million in seed funding backed by SFC Capital, British Business Investments, and New World Group, and has received strategic investment from SC Ventures. The company's technology is now serving values-based finance needs for Muslim and ESG-conscious communities across the UK and internationally.
