Calibre

Calibre is a London-based startup building AI infrastructure for the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) industry — a roughly $200 billion market that underpins global commerce. From aircraft components to banking systems and food supply chains, almost no regulated product reaches market without sign-off from a human auditor, yet certification typically takes three to six months and is throttled by manual document review.

For enterprise TIC bodies, Calibre deploys bespoke AI agents built into existing systems and engineered to enterprise security standards, each one purpose-built for the standards, workflows and judgement patterns of the organisation. It has also launched AuditorOS, an AI product for independent auditors that handles documentation review, report writing and standards cross-referencing.

Calibre was founded by Gautham Senthilnathan and Steve Thomas, who met at university and previously spent three years at Palantir deploying AI across regulated industries. The company raised a $3.3M (£2.46M) pre-seed in May 2026 led by Vicus Ventures and CIV, with participation from I2BF, 9 Yards Capital, Jigeum and angels including Nikesh Arora.
