Cera is Europe's largest digital-first home healthcare provider, delivering care, nursing, telehealth and prescription services in people's homes through AI-powered technology. Founded in 2015 and formally launched in 2016 by Dr Ben Maruthappu and Marek Sacha, Cera was born from Ben's personal experience watching his mother struggle with inadequate care coordination after a back fracture.

The company operates across the UK and Germany, delivering over 100 million home visits. Its AI platform has reduced hospitalisation rates by 52%, predicted up to 80% of hospitalisations seven days in advance, and saved the NHS over £1 billion. Cera reached unicorn status in 2025 and has been ranked the UK's number one HealthTech three years running by Deloitte Fast 50.

In January 2025, Cera raised $150 million in a Series C round from BDT & MSD Partners, Schroders Capital and others, bringing total funding to over $570 million.
