Dines App is a London-based hospitality technology company that provides an all-in-one point-of-sale and payments platform for restaurants, bars, cafes, festivals, theatres, and other hospitality businesses across the UK. Its integrated system combines in-person payments, mobile ordering, table bookings, inventory management, staff management, and marketing in a single platform, replacing the fragmented mix of disparate tools that most hospitality operators rely on.

The hospitality sector has historically been underserved by technology, with most operators running separate systems for payments, ordering, bookings, and back-office management that do not communicate with each other and create significant administrative overhead. The problem became acute during the pandemic, which forced operators to adopt digital ordering almost overnight — exposing just how poorly integrated existing solutions were and how much operational efficiency was being lost to system fragmentation.

Dines pivoted in 2020 to integrate mobile ordering into its platform, allowing venues to offer contactless table service without requiring customers to download an app. Post-pandemic, the company integrated Stripe Terminal to unify online and in-person payment streams, which the company reported drove a 150% increase in revenue per venue. Its all-in-one operating system is designed for Apple devices and managed through a web interface, with cloud printing, time and attendance tracking, and customised reporting built in.

Founded in 2016 by Delawar Hussain and Adam Umarji, Dines has raised $1.94 million in seed funding from Forward Partners, Ascension, and Redbus Group. The company has teams in London, Newcastle, and Berlin, and has expanded its revenue model to include a charitable dimension — donating a meal for every order completed through its platform to a food bank partner, aligning commercial activity with social impact.
