Fortify Solutions is a Cambridge-based financial crime prevention company that provides AI-powered fraud and anti-money laundering software and embedded expert services to fast-growing banks, fintechs, and payment processors. Rather than selling standalone software, Fortify pairs its technology with an experienced team that works alongside clients' own fraud and AML teams — a hybrid model designed to deliver real impact from day one rather than requiring months of implementation before value is realised.

Financial fraud in the UK has reached significant and growing scale. Authorised push payment fraud, account takeover, identity fraud, and card fraud collectively cost the UK economy billions of pounds annually, while new Payment Systems Regulator rules have increased the financial exposure of payment service providers to APP fraud losses. Alongside this, the growing sophistication of AI-driven fraud attacks — deepfake-based social engineering, synthetic identity fraud, and coordinated criminal networks — has made fraud prevention a top-tier priority for financial institutions' risk and technology functions.

Fortify's platform helps institutions detect fraud and AML patterns in transaction and customer data, automate rule creation and investigation workflows, and identify suspicious account behaviours and networks. Its unique differentiator is the combination of software with embedded domain experts — analysts and engineers with deep experience at companies like Featurespace and Mastercard — who work as an extension of the client's team. This model is particularly suited to mid-tier financial institutions that need enterprise-grade fraud prevention capability but lack the resources to build and maintain large in-house specialist teams.

Fortify Solutions was founded in 2023 by Dr Karthik Tadinada and Julia Warring, and raised £1.2 million in funding in early 2025 to develop its platform and grow its commercial relationships across UK and European financial institutions.
