Dr Karthik Tadinada is a British-Indian data scientist, engineer, and entrepreneur who co-founded Fortify Solutions, a Cambridge-based company using AI to transform fraud and AML prevention for banks, fintechs, and payment processors. One of the UK's leading experts in anti-financial crime AI, Tadinada spent nearly a decade at Featurespace — one of the world's most recognised fraud detection technology companies — before launching Fortify to bring his accumulated expertise directly to the clients who need it most.

Tadinada holds both an MEng and a PhD in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge, where he specialised in signal processing and machine learning. After his doctorate, he worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group before a period teaching mathematics at St Paul's School, one of the UK's most academically selective independent schools. He joined Featurespace when it was a team of roughly 15 people, initially as a Data Scientist, and over nearly a decade rose to Chief Operating Officer — running the Engineering, Data Science, Cloud Operations, Security, and Delivery teams as the company scaled to over 400 employees and protected more than 50 billion transactions annually.

At Featurespace, Tadinada was the creator of their award-winning real-time fraud detection system and a key architect of the AI systems that have been deployed across global banks, airlines, and payment networks. His work established him as a recognised authority on machine learning applied to financial crime, and his transition from corporate executive to founder was driven by a conviction that the fraud teams at mid-market and growth-stage financial institutions were being consistently underserved by vendors who sold software without the expertise to make it work.

Tadinada co-founded Fortify Solutions in 2023 alongside Julia Warring, pairing his technical depth with a product and commercial build-out capability. Fortify raised £1.2 million in early 2025 to develop its platform and grow its embedded expert services model across UK and European financial institutions.
