Hexarad

Hexarad is a London-based radiology technology company tackling the gap between scan volume and radiologist supply — a shortage estimated at almost 2,000 consultants in the UK alone. Founded in 2016 by four NHS consultant radiologists, it provides remote scan reporting backed by software designed to make hospital radiology departments measurably more efficient.
The platform has three components: ReportRad for AI-supported subspecialty teleradiology with rapid turnaround; OptiRad, an operating system for radiology departments covering rota management, scan allocation and capacity oversight; and Hexarad Hub, a portal for urgent reporting that has reportedly saved one NHS trust 14 hours of emergency-department time per night and £400K in annual costs. Reporters on the platform are UK-trained consultants, most still practising in the NHS.
Hexarad serves NHS trusts, private healthcare providers and partners in Ireland and Saudi Arabia. It closed a £4.5M Series A in 2022 and a $14M growth round in 2024, led by Switzerland-based MTIP with participation from Foresight Group. The company also runs the Hexarad Widening Participation Scholarship with the Royal College of Radiologists.
