Dr. Jaymin Patel

Dr. Jaymin Patel is a British-Indian consultant radiologist and co-founder and COO of Hexarad, the UK-based health technology company transforming radiology services for NHS trusts and private healthcare organisations. He studied Medicine at Imperial College London, graduating with a BSc in Medical Sciences specialising in Gastroenterology and Hepatology before completing his MBBS. He subsequently trained as a consultant radiologist, building particular expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatopancreaticobiliary imaging. Alongside his clinical career, he co-founded Radiology Interviews Ltd in 2013, reflecting an early entrepreneurial instinct within his field.
Jaymin co-founded Hexarad in 2016 alongside a group of NHS consultant radiologists, each of whom had experienced first-hand the mounting pressure on radiology departments caused by a growing shortage of reporting radiologists. As COO, Jaymin oversees the operational engine of the business, ensuring high clinical standards, seamless reporter experience, and efficient workflow management across the platform. Beyond his role at Hexarad, he continues to practise as a Consultant Radiologist at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London. He also serves as an editor for iRefer, the Royal College of Radiologists' clinical referral guidelines, responsible for updating the GI and HPB imaging recommendations — and sits on the expert radiology panel for the British Medical Journal.
Hexarad has grown to become a major provider of teleradiology and radiology workflow software to NHS trusts and private healthcare customers across the UK, Ireland, and Saudi Arabia. The company raised £11 million in 2024, led by MTIP, with Hexarad achieving consistent annual revenue growth of over 120%. Jaymin's dual role as a practising clinician and operational leader gives Hexarad a distinctive edge: the technology is built by radiologists, for radiologists, with patient outcomes always at the centre.
