Jack & Jill
Jack & Jill is a London-based AI recruitment company founded in early 2025 that raised $20 million in seed funding just six months after launch. The company deploys two autonomous conversational AI agents — Jack, who speaks with candidates, and Jill, who consults with hiring teams — to reimagine the recruitment process from first principles rather than automating the broken legacy model.
The recruitment industry has a fundamental data problem: the information that drives good hiring decisions is conversational and contextual, not documentary. CVs capture credentials but not ambition, working style, or cultural fit. Job boards create noise at scale. Agencies are constrained by capacity and rarely specialist enough to assess technical roles deeply. Jack & Jill was built around the conviction that the only way to fix recruitment is to have real conversations — at scale, autonomously, and on both sides of the market simultaneously.
Jack holds voice conversations with candidates to understand their skills, motivations, career goals, and the environments in which they thrive — building rich structured profiles that go far beyond a CV. Jill works with hiring managers to understand the genuine requirements of a role, not just the specification on paper. The two agents then collaborate to match a small, genuinely relevant shortlist from Jack's network rather than producing a long list. By six months post-launch, Jack had spoken with 49,000 candidates and Jill had been integrated into the hiring teams of hundreds of London-based companies, with clients reporting time-to-hire improvements and cost savings of up to 50% compared to traditional agency fees.
The $20 million seed round, led by Creandum, will fund the company's imminent expansion into San Francisco's Bay Area tech market, team growth, and continued AI development. The investor syndicate includes participants from Anthropic and ElevenLabs — signal that the confidence in Jack & Jill extends to conviction in the agentic AI infrastructure on which it is built.
