MeVitae is an Oxford-based HR technology company founded by Oxford University alumni that applies AI, natural language processing and cognitive neuroscience to eliminate bias from recruitment processes. The company was born from firsthand observation of how algorithmic and unconscious biases in hiring systematically disadvantage candidates based on their name, gender, ethnicity or educational background — long before a human ever reads their CV.

MeVitae's platform integrates seamlessly into more than 20 of the world's leading applicant tracking systems, including Oracle, SAP, Greenhouse and SmartRecruiters, enabling enterprise organisations to anonymise CVs, screen candidates on merit and improve the diversity of their hiring pipelines. The company's tools have been shown to double talent pools, increase gender diversity by 30% or more, and reduce time-to-hire by up to 80%. MeVitae was selected by the UK Information Commissioner's Office to co-develop the national AI Data Protection Audit standard for hiring.

Backed by investors including Apex Black, SFC Capital and ParkWalk Advisors, and supported by board members including Dhiraj Mukherjee (co-founder of Shazam) and Steve Garnett (former Chairman of Salesforce), MeVitae has raised $1.8 million in seed funding to accelerate its US expansion. The company was nominated by Microsoft for the Norrsken Impact/100 Award as one of the top 100 global companies driving social change, and won Innovate UK's inaugural Inclusive Innovation Award.
