Vivek Doraiswamy is a computer scientist and entrepreneur of South Indian Tamil heritage who studied at Oxford University, where he met his co-founder Riham Satti. His background in computer science and his personal experience navigating highly competitive hiring processes — including an aspiration to join Microsoft — sparked the insight that led to MeVitae: that algorithmic and cognitive biases in recruitment were systematically excluding talented candidates from opportunities they deserved.

Vivek co-founded MeVitae alongside Riham Satti to apply his technical expertise to the problem of bias in hiring. As CTO, he has built out the company's core platform, which uses natural language processing, machine learning and augmented intelligence to anonymise CVs, screen candidates fairly and help organisations build more diverse and productive teams. MeVitae's tools integrate with over 20 major HR and applicant tracking systems including Oracle, SAP, Greenhouse and SmartRecruiters.

MeVitae has been nominated by Microsoft for the Norrsken Impact/100 Award, was selected by the UK Information Commissioner's Office to co-develop the national AI Data Protection Audit for hiring, and won Innovate UK's inaugural Inclusive Innovation Award. The company raised $1.8 million in seed funding led by Apex Black to accelerate its US expansion and further product development, and counts enterprise clients averaging 30,000 employees across its customer base.
