Monq

Monq is a London-based enterprise AI startup building an AI-driven strategic procurement negotiation platform. Founded in April 2025 by alumni of Revolut, Deutsche Bank, and HSBC, the company emerged from stealth in November 2025 with £2.3 million in pre-seed funding and a mission to transform how large organisations negotiate their highest-value supplier contracts.

Strategic procurement governs some of the most commercially significant decisions a company makes, yet the process remains largely manual. Research cited by Monq estimates that enterprises lose approximately $100 billion annually to slow, manual procurement workflows, with nearly a quarter of procurement time consumed by low-value administrative tasks. Most existing software digitises these workflows rather than transforming the underlying negotiation logic, leaving billions in potential contract savings unrealised across the $10.4 trillion global procurement market.

Monq's platform deploys a multi-agent AI system that combines large language model reasoning, contract intelligence, and behavioural science. Agents analyse deal history, supplier performance data, and negotiation psychology to anticipate counterparty moves and recommend optimal strategies. Where teams authorise it, agents can negotiate autonomously end-to-end — while keeping humans in control of the parameters at every stage. Early pilots with FTSE-listed manufacturers, global healthcare groups, and Singapore-based automotive tech company Ennovi showed cost reductions of up to 40% and deal cycle acceleration of up to five times.

The £2.3 million pre-seed round was led by Outward VC, with Cornerstone VC, Octopus Ventures, Lakestar Halo, Endurance Ventures, and strategic angels also participating. The round was nearly twice oversubscribed; the founders chose to cap it at its current size rather than dilute further. Funding is being deployed to build engineering and product teams across the EU, US, and Middle East, and to scale Monq's early enterprise pilots into full deployments.
