Mozart AI is a London-based music technology startup building a Generative Audio Workstation — a platform that enables artists of all levels to compose, produce, and distribute music with AI assistance while retaining full copyright over their work. The platform is part of Arthos, which builds AI tools designed to embed artists' style and intention into AI-assisted workflows. Unlike text-to-song generators, Mozart AI acts as an AI co-producer, supporting ground-up music creation alongside fully agentic, prompt-driven generation, handling technical tasks like quantisation, time stretching, and sound design so creators can focus on artistic direction.

The Digital Audio Workstation has been the central tool of professional music production for decades, but has remained technically demanding and largely inaccessible to casual creators. Meanwhile, a generation of AI music tools has proliferated rapidly, with many drawing backlash from artists over copyright displacement. Mozart AI was founded on the conviction that a creator-first platform, built on commercially cleared generative models trained exclusively on licensed material, could unlock a new generation of artists — while maintaining the integrity that professional musicians require. Artists retain full copyright over every track produced on the platform.

Mozart AI's Generative Audio Workstation provides context-aware stem generation, real-time MIDI progressions and drum suggestions, synth and effects generation, and the ability to riff and remix sounds into new styles. Users can also generate music videos and publish directly to social platforms from within the same environment. The platform is built on commercially cleared third-party generative models including those from ElevenLabs. Since launching in beta in September 2025, it attracted over 100,000 artists in its first two months, with more than one million songs created. Producers associated with A$AP Rocky, Avicii, and Kodak Black have used the tool, with some tracks surpassing 10 million streams on Spotify.

Mozart AI raised a $1.1 million pre-seed in mid-2025, followed by a £4.5 million seed round in February 2026 led by Balderton Capital — bringing total funding to more than $7 million. The round also included Mercuri, EWOR, and prominent angel investors. The funding will be used to expand the team from ten to twenty-five people, accelerate core technology development, and prepare for a full public launch after a viral beta period.
