Newton's Tree
.avif)
Newton's Tree is a London-based health technology company founded in 2023 that is building the enterprise AI platform for hospitals. The company was created to solve a specific and well-documented bottleneck in healthcare: despite a rapidly expanding market of AI tools proven to improve clinical outcomes, most NHS Trusts and hospital systems can realistically deploy only one or two AI products at a time due to the complexity and cost of integrating third-party software into clinical workflows. Newton's Tree exists to break that logjam, enabling hospitals to procure, integrate, and monitor dozens of AI applications simultaneously through a single vendor-neutral platform.
The Newton's Tree platform acts as an AI mission control layer for hospitals, providing a unified dashboard for discovering, evaluating, and deploying third-party AI solutions — while also continuously monitoring their performance, safety, and regulatory compliance in real time. Its Federated AI Monitoring Service (FAMOS) has been piloted at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, demonstrating the feasibility of proactive, real-time monitoring across multiple AI vendors and workflows. By reducing integration time from months to days, Newton's Tree makes it economically and operationally feasible for even under-resourced NHS Trusts to access and safely use the best available AI tools.
Newton's Tree has raised £3.3 million from investors including Octopus Ventures and Calm/Storm Ventures, and has formed a strategic partnership with DNV Ventures. The company has deployed its platform in multiple NHS hospitals, was named an NHS Innovation Accelerator fellow, and is collaborating with NHS England to shape national standards for AI monitoring in healthcare. Its ambition is to make the UK's health system a global model for responsible, large-scale AI adoption.
