SonicJobs is a London-based AI-powered job search platform founded in 2017 by Mikhil Raja, Francesca Boccolini, and Francesco Masia, designed to fix one of recruitment's most persistent and expensive problems: the broken candidate application experience. The industry standard — where job seekers click a listing and are redirected to individual employer career sites to re-enter the same information repeatedly — produces a market-wide click-to-apply conversion rate of just 5%, meaning 95% of candidates abandon the process before completing an application. This wastes the majority of employers' recruitment advertising spend and frustrates millions of candidates.
SonicJobs' solution is a proprietary Robotic Process Automation (RPA) engine and AI agent technology that reads each employer's specific application process and completes it on behalf of the candidate, without ever redirecting them away from the SonicJobs platform. The system retains candidate information so each subsequent application becomes faster and more seamless. The result is a 26% click-to-apply conversion rate — five times the market average — delivering higher-quality, higher-volume applications for employers and a genuinely frictionless experience for job seekers. The platform has 1.4 million+ jobs listed in the UK and has expanded into the US, where it works with Fortune 500 companies including Walmart and Sysco.
SonicJobs raised a £4.2 million Series A led by Triple Point Ventures, TMT Investments, and Ufi Ventures, with angel participation from notable investors including former Sky Bet CEO Richard Flint, PropertyGuru's Vivek Kumar, and JetSynthesys' Rajan Navani. The company has received multiple awards for recruitment innovation and is continuing to develop its AI agent capabilities to support career coaching, pathway identification, and broader candidate lifecycle management, positioning itself as a mission-driven platform for improving economic outcomes for workers and their families.
