TERN Group is a UK-headquartered AI clinical workforce platform founded in 2023 that raised $24 million in a Series A in September 2025 led by Notion Capital. For the healthcare workers themselves, the journey is equally opaque: unethical agencies, unclear pathways, and inadequate support on arrival. TERN was founded to address both sides of this structural failure simultaneously.

The platform integrates the full international recruitment lifecycle — sourcing, credentialling, training, relocation, and settlement support — into a single AI-driven workflow. Its AI compresses what previously took months into a predictable, compliant pipeline, while human-led support handles the cultural and pastoral dimensions of relocation that technology alone cannot replace. At the time of the Series A, the platform served more than 650,000 healthcare professionals from 13 countries across 100-plus global healthcare clients, operating in the UK, Germany, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and the US.

TERN reported tenfold revenue growth in the year leading to the raise, with annualised revenues approaching ₹200 crore. The Series A capital is directed at deepening AI-driven compliance automation, building workforce planning intelligence for multi-year supply pipelines, and expanding into additional geographies. The company's name references the Arctic Tern, whose remarkable annual migration embodies the resilience and journey of the healthcare professionals TERN supports.
