Trent AI
.avif)
Trent AI is a London-based agentic security company building a layered platform to secure AI agents and autonomous workflows. The company addresses a structural gap that has emerged as enterprises deploy autonomous agents faster than their existing security frameworks can adapt: development teams using these systems often have no security model designed for agentic environments.
The product is a multi-agent security solution made up of specialised AI agents that work in coordination. One group identifies exploits in code and infrastructure, another ranks vulnerabilities by severity, a third suggests remediation steps, and a fourth monitors changes over time. The platform uses a proprietary judgement layer and reinforcement learning to detect risks such as prompt injection, tool misuse, unintended actions, data exfiltration and privilege escalation, and integrates with development workflows to apply fixes.
Trent AI was founded in 2025 by Eno Thereska (CEO), Neil Lawrence (Chief Scientist) and Zhenwen Dai (CTO), with backgrounds spanning AWS, Spotify, Confluent, Alcion and the University of Cambridge. The company emerged from stealth in April 2026 with a £10M seed round led by LocalGlobe and Cambridge Innovation Capital. Design partners including Canopy, Commscentre, ML@Cam, Qbeast and Weblogic are running the platform. Trent AI is a partner member of OWASP and a startup partner with Carnegie Mellon University's CyLab Venture Network.
