Vectify AI

Vectify AI is a London-based artificial intelligence company founded in 2023, built on the insight that conventional retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems fail the professionals who need them most. In financial analysis, legal review, and medical research, accuracy and traceability are non-negotiable — yet standard vector-database approaches chunk documents arbitrarily, losing the structural relationships between tables, headers, footnotes, and the data they describe. Vectify AI was founded to solve this problem.
The company's core product is PageIndex, a reasoning-based RAG engine that transforms long documents into hierarchical semantic tree structures, enabling large language models to navigate and retrieve information the way a human expert would. Built on top of PageIndex, Mafin is Vectify AI's specialised financial question-answering model, which has achieved 98.7% accuracy on the FinanceBench benchmark — the industry standard for AI performance on financial document analysis including SEC filings, annual reports, and earnings data. The engine provides full traceability for every retrieved answer, a critical requirement for regulated industries.
Vectify AI raised £1.1m to commercialise PageIndex and expand its capabilities into legal, medical, and technical documentation. The company's technology has attracted attention from financial institutions and enterprise clients seeking reliable, explainable AI for high-stakes document workflows. Founder Mingtian Zhang, a UCL-trained researcher with prior experience at Huawei Technologies R&D, leads the company from its London base.
