WealthKernel is a London-based provider of embedded investment infrastructure, supplying the essential building blocks that enable fintechs, banks, neobanks, and financial platforms to offer digital wealth and investment services to their customers. Founded in 2015, the company was built on the conviction that legacy investment infrastructure was too fragmented, too expensive, and too slow to meet the needs of a digital-first world — and that by rebuilding it as a modular, API-first layer, any business could become an investment platform.

The company's core offering is a fully regulated, vertically integrated investment infrastructure stack delivered entirely over API. This covers client onboarding and KYC, trading execution, custody, ISAs, SIPPs, JISAs, GIAs, and portfolio management — enabling partners to go live with investment products in a fraction of the time and cost of building in-house. WealthKernel also launched US equities trading and expanded into Europe, obtaining regulatory licences in Spain and other EU markets.

WealthKernel raised over $20 million across multiple funding rounds from investors including ETFS Capital, Digital Horizon, and XTX Ventures, and was acquired by Alpaca Securities in July 2025 as part of Alpaca's entry into the UK and EU investment infrastructure market. Notable partners have included Wealthyhood, Wealth8, and ClearBank. The company won a Startup Programme award at CogX 2023 and was featured in Sifted's European Wealthtech Early-Stage Startups to Watch list.
