Yhangry

yhangry is a marketplace that lets customers book private chefs for events ranging from dinner parties and birthdays to weekly meal prep, working with a vetted roster of more than 600 chefs across the UK with US expansion underway.

The company pitched on Dragons' Den and graduated from Y Combinator's Winter 2022 batch, repositioning during the programme from an operations-heavy model to a pure marketplace where chefs handle their own grocery and logistics.

yhangry has raised over $3 million from investors including Y Combinator and a syndicate of angels, with co-founders Siddhi Mittal and Heinin Zhang both leaving trading careers at Barclays to build the business.
