Heinin Zhang is the co-founder and co-CEO of yhangry, the YC-backed UK marketplace where customers book private chefs for everything from dinner parties to weekly meal prep.

Zhang grew up in Germany and China and read Philosophy and Economics at the London School of Economics. She started her career on the trading floor at Goldman Sachs in London, working in credit sales for nearly three years, then moved to the same role at Barclays Investment Bank. In 2019 she was selected for Google's Female Founders Programme as one of ten residents in London.

She co-founded yhangry with Siddhi Mittal, who came from a trading career at Barclays. The company was featured on Dragons' Den and joined Y Combinator's Winter 2022 cohort, where it pivoted from an operations-heavy model into the pure marketplace it runs today.
