Fifosys Raises £2M to Scale Managed IT Services for Growing UK Businesses
Author:

Fifosys, a UK IT services company, has raised £2 million to expand its managed IT services business. The company provides outsourced IT support, infrastructure management, and cloud computing services to small and medium-sized organisations in the UK — acting as the external IT department for businesses that need reliable, professional technology management but are not large enough to justify the cost of a full in-house IT team.

Managed IT services have become an increasingly important part of the technology landscape for SMEs. The complexity of modern business technology — which now encompasses cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance requirements, remote working systems, and software-as-a-service applications — has grown well beyond what a small business can manage informally or with a single generalist IT person. The consequences of getting this wrong are serious: a security breach, a system failure during a critical period, or non-compliance with data protection regulations can cause significant financial and reputational damage. Yet the cost of building a multi-disciplinary internal IT function is prohibitive for most organisations below a few hundred employees.

Fifosys addresses this by providing the breadth of IT capability that businesses need on a managed service basis: proactive monitoring and maintenance of IT infrastructure, a helpdesk for day-to-day user support, cybersecurity monitoring and response, cloud migration and management, and strategic technology advice for businesses planning new systems or undergoing growth. This gives clients access to the kind of IT management capability that large enterprises have in-house, at a cost and with a flexibility appropriate to their size.

The funding will be used to expand Fifosys's team, develop its service capabilities — particularly in cloud and cybersecurity — and grow its client base across London and the South East, where the density of SMEs creates strong demand for high-quality outsourced IT services.
