Alan Chang is the co-founder and CEO of Fuse Energy, the London-based vertically integrated clean energy company he launched in 2022 alongside co-founder Charles Orr. A Physics graduate from Imperial College London, Chang joined Revolut at the age of 21 as its fifth employee. Over seven years, he rose to become head of operations at 22 and chief revenue officer at 27, playing a pivotal role in scaling Revolut into one of the world's most valuable fintech companies. He left in 2022 to found Fuse Energy, bringing with him a conviction that the same first-principles, high-velocity approach that had worked in financial services could be applied to one of the world's most inefficient industries.

Under Chang's leadership, Fuse has become one of Europe's fastest-growing energy startups. The company reached $400 million in annualised revenue by late 2025, growing approximately eight times year-on-year to achieve cash-flow-positive status, and supplies electricity to over 200,000 UK households at prices around 10% below incumbent suppliers. Fuse raised a £50 million Series B in December 2025 at a £3.7 billion valuation, backed by Balderton Capital and Lowercarbon Capital, and was ranked the UK's fastest-growing technology company by The Times. Chang has been named to the Top 100 Influential People list and is expanding Fuse internationally into Ireland, Spain, and the United States. His approach — recruiting quantitative engineers from high-frequency trading firms and operating with the urgency of a fintech — has established Fuse as a defining example of vertical integration in the energy sector.
