Anish Kapoor is a British entrepreneur of Indian heritage with a career spanning more than three decades at the intersection of technology, finance and infrastructure. He graduated in computer science and accounting from the University of Manchester in 1993, trained as an accountant at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), and then founded TeleCity, one of the UK's first internet infrastructure businesses, becoming one of the youngest-ever directors of a FTSE 250 company when TeleCity listed and grew to become Europe's largest listed data centre operator.

After a series of further VC-backed ventures in voice and internet technologies, Anish was drawn to AccessPay — originally founded in Manchester in 2012 by Ali Moiyed — by its potential to modernise corporate banking infrastructure. He joined as CEO in 2014 and has since led the company through a hypergrowth phase, transforming it into the UK's leading corporate-to-bank integration platform. AccessPay connects businesses' ERP and finance systems to over 16,000 banks globally, automating payment operations, bank statement retrieval and fraud prevention.

Under Anish's leadership, AccessPay has raised more than $44 million in total funding from investors including True Ventures, Mastercard, NatWest, Beringea and Praetura Ventures. The platform now serves over 1,000 customers in more than 100 countries, including ITV, Sainsbury's Bank and Admiral Group, and is widely regarded as the fastest-growing fintech outside of London. AccessPay secured £6.2 million from NatWest Venture & Growth Finance in 2024 to support further expansion.
