Anshu Ahuja is co-founder of DabbaDrop, the zero-waste subscription takeaway service she started in 2018 in Hackney with neighbour Renée Williams. The two of them deliver South Asian–inspired meals across London in reusable stainless-steel tiffins (dabbas), inspired by Mumbai's dabbawala system, and have spent the last six years building it from a kitchen-table experiment into a multi-zone London delivery business with a waitlist of several thousand subscribers.
Before DabbaDrop she had a long career in television production. As series producer she made Channel 4's First Dates at Twenty Twenty TV, and series one and two of The Job Interview at Label1; before that she was a senior producer at Dragonfly Film and Television, working on observational documentary series including The Hotel and One Born Every Minute.
Anshu pitched DabbaDrop on Dragons' Den in 2025, walking away without investment but with the kind of national exposure crowdfunding rounds rarely get. The business is privately held; it has raised an early round at a £2.7m valuation and continues to expand its London delivery footprint while developing adjacent products including pickles and ready meals.
