Anuj Kapoor

Anuj Kapoor is a British-Indian entrepreneur whose career spans technology, sustainability, and decentralised systems. He holds an MSc from the London School of Economics, where his thesis explored ICTs in economic transformation, and an MBA from IIM Calcutta — one of India's most prestigious management institutions. This combination of policy thinking and business rigour has shaped his approach to building technology that bridges ecological markets and financial systems.

Kapoor co-founded greenpeople.earth, the data platform for ecological monitoring, with a vision of bringing transparency, trust, and efficiency to the fast-growing world of nature-based carbon and biodiversity markets. As founder and developer, he has built the company's core geo-ledger infrastructure, which allows organisations, governments, and communities to manage ecological data and create verified environmental assets such as carbon credits using AI, web3, and cloud technologies.

Greenpeople.earth raised £1.4m to scale its platform at the intersection of compliance and voluntary carbon markets, working with impact partners across land management, biodiversity measurement, and ESG reporting. The platform is designed to democratise ecological data management through decentralised systems, removing single points of failure and enabling more transparent participation across the global ecological economy.
