Anushka Mahanti is a British-Indian business leader whose career in global e-commerce and brand strategy positioned her to address one of the most persistent inefficiencies in the home décor supply chain. Before co-founding Trampoline, she spent years in senior roles at Amazon, where she led go-to-market strategies for global brands — work that gave her deep insight into the mechanics of international retail, the challenges of scaling product across borders, and the tools that large organisations use to drive demand that are simply unavailable to smaller independent retailers.

It was during this period that Mahanti identified the founding thesis of Trampoline: that the $800 billion global home and living market was fundamentally underserving the independent retailers who make up the majority of it. Traditional cross-border supply chains from India were fragmented, opaque, and built around high-volume relationships that excluded smaller buyers. The opportunity was to combine India's extraordinary craftsmanship and raw material richness with a global design language, real-time data, and a fully managed supply chain — making Indian home décor accessible to the world's independent retail community at scale.

In December 2023, Mahanti co-founded Trampoline with Abhik Ghosh and Varun Deo, taking on the role of Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer. In this capacity, she leads the commercial vision of the platform — overseeing product strategy, brand positioning, catalogue breadth, and retailer relationships. Her approach is explicitly design-led: Trampoline is differentiated from traditional B2B trading platforms by its commitment to aesthetics, trend awareness, and the curation of products that genuinely resonate with sophisticated global retailers and their customers.

Since Trampoline's UK launch in February 2024, Mahanti has helped grow the retailer base to over 200 customers and the product catalogue to more than 1,000 SKUs across 25 categories. Her public statements reflect a conviction that data-driven design decisions — informed by sales patterns, customer feedback, and global trend mapping — are the key to cracking a market that commodity-driven suppliers have consistently failed to serve. The company's $5 million seed round in June 2024 co-led by Matrix Partners India and WaterBridge Ventures provided validation for this approach.
