Aymeric Zhuo grew up in French Guiana, the son of Chinese immigrant parents who ran a family grocery store. He went on to study engineering and applied mathematics at École Polytechnique in Paris, where he ranked among the country's top students.
His early career took him into consumer product roles at scale. He was a founding member of Activision's media unit working on Candy Crush, and later moved to TikTok, where he worked on products reaching hundreds of millions of users. In 2023, he co-founded Agemo, an AI research lab focused on neurosymbolic reasoning through code, alongside Osman Ramadan, whom he met at an applied AI lab founded by early DeepMind employees.
After Agemo contributed to the ARC-AGI benchmark, Zhuo and Ramadan pivoted the company into CodeWords, refocusing on a commercial problem: making AI agents usable by people without engineering backgrounds. The platform's Cody agent now runs around 500,000 workflows a month for agencies, operators and go-to-market teams. CodeWords has raised £6.6 million in seed funding led by Visionaries.
