Devin Kohli

Devin Kohli was born and raised in the UK to a family with Indian roots, and studied at the London School of Economics before spending the early part of his career in banking and corporate finance roles in London.
His career pivoted toward venture capital through Investec, where he helped seed Outward as a fintech-focused investment thesis sitting inside the bank. In 2019 he co-founded Outward VC as a standalone fund alongside Kevin Chong, having spotted a structural gap in pre-Series A fintech funding in the UK and Europe.
As Co-Founder and General Partner, Devin has led or co-led Outward's investments in companies including Bud, Curve, Monese, Orbital, Peppy and Monq. He sits on the board of Bud and serves as a board observer at Monese. In September 2024 the firm announced the £51m first close of Fund II, with the British Business Bank as cornerstone LP committing £30m. Devin has also been a public voice on UK fintech policy, including taking part in the AI Safety Summit conversation with Rishi Sunak and Elon Musk.
