Dr. Bea Bakshi is the Co-Founder and CEO of C the Signs, a London-based AI cancer prediction platform used across the NHS and now expanding into the United States. The company has identified more than 25,000 patients with cancer across over 50 cancer types, and was recently selected as a founding member of the CancerX White House Cancer Moonshot. In January 2025, C the Signs raised $8 million from Khosla Ventures to accelerate its U.S. rollout, adding to backing from MMC Ventures, Ataraxia, Acequia Capital and angel investors including the founder of Monzo and former CEOs of Bupa and AXA Health.
Before founding C the Signs in 2017, Bea spent over a decade as an NHS GP, and built a parallel career in health policy. She served as Deputy IT Lead on the BMA's GP Committee, helping shape the £300 million online consultation fund and lead GDPR implementation in primary care, and co-authored the first Dynamic Purchasing System Framework for digital health regulation in the UK. The motivation for the company came directly from clinical experience — losing patients to late-stage cancer diagnoses that earlier intervention could have changed.
Bea is an Obama Foundation Leader (Europe cohort) and has been recognised among AccelerateHER's Most Inspiring 50 Women in Tech in the UK. She studied Medicine at King's College London and holds a Bachelor's in Management from Imperial College London.
